Keynote Speaker: Wanda
Munn!!
Prior to retirement, Ms. Munn was a Senior Nuclear Engineer at
Westinghouse Hanford Company. A strong advocate of breeder reactor
systems with an interest in public policy, she was closely associated
with the Fast Flux Test Facility
from construction to closure.
Wanda is a member of the Columbia Chapter of the Health Physics Society,
a life member and past Division Chair of the American Nuclear Society
and a Fellow of the Society of Women Engineers. She was the Charter
president of SWE at Oregon State University and one of the initial
members of Eastern Washington professional section. She represented
national engineering societies at multiple United Nations preparatory
meetings and at international conferences held in Rio de Janeiro,
Manchester, and Kyoto. A former Tri Cities Engineer of the Year, she is
a past councilwoman for the City of Richland.
Wanda is an original member of the Presidentially appointed Advisory
Board on Radiation and Worker Health, and continues to serve in that
capacity. She received her B.S. from the Department of Nuclear
Engineering at Oregon State University, and holds a M.B.A. from the
University of Washington
